I am an in-network provider for Aetna. This means if your primary insurance is Aetna, there is no out of pocket cost to you for in-home lactation support. I will bill Aetna directly. Aetna covers up to 6 visits.

For all other non-Aetna patients, an initial home visit is $250 due at time of visit (an initial visit is typically 90 minutes and includes two weeks of unlimited phone/text follow-up). I will provide you with a “superbill” to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Since each plan is different, I can not guarantee you will be reimbursed. I recommend you call your insurance provider in advance of our appointment to check your plan’s reimbursement policy re: seeing an out of network lactation consultant.

Follow-up visits for non-Aetna patients are based on time:
- Appointments up to 1-hour are $100
- Appointments 60-90 minutes are $150

Under the Affordable Care Act, (most) insurance plans are required to cover breastfeeding support, supplies (e.g., breast pump), and counseling. However, there is a lot of “fine print” — check these two sites for more detailed information and assistance with seeking reimbursement:
